Star Trek: The Next Generation
A reboot of the original Star Trek, with better special effects and a whole new crew. The nice thing about this is that the writers stuck with a lot of the same concepts from the original series. The world was more ready for a show like this when The Next Generation came out than when the original did, so the show was more popular and had a longer run on the air. The unforgettable First Officer, Commander William Riker, is more of the focus of the show than Captian Jean-Luc Picard, but just as the original did, each main character gets tons of screen time. The writers divided the focus more around the individual characters, making for great character backgrounds and well developed personalities.
