Don't Be Afraid of the Dark. A message that rings false through most horror movies and even some scifis. This movie was unpredictable in that if you thought something was going to happen, it probally didn't, with the exception of a few scenes.

Sally (we think she is 8) moves into a new house and finds that there are faries there, but not the kind you would think. They are the kind that feed on the bones and teeth of children and haven't eaten in a few decades. At first she thinks that they are friendly, but then things change. When noone beleives her, she decides to carry around a poloroid camera (who has poloroids anymore?) and try to get a picture of them. Then they decide to move out, and in doing that, they really made the creatures angry.

All around this is just a good movie that puts a new layer on the horror genre. I would reccomend watching it if you haven't seen it already.
